Take Your Book Group To Guernsey

I very nearly kept this exciting competition all to myself...

Only kidding. But, if the competition to win the Bloomsbury Group books (now closed) weren't enough, Bloomsbury are also offering a chance to head off to Guernsey, in celebration of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. Was it really a whole year ago this wonderful book entered my life? More here on what I thought of the novel, and the information from the Bloomsbury newsletter is below.

Enter our competition for your chance to take your book group to Guernsey.

One winner will be selected to travel to Guernsey with five friends from Friday October 2nd to Monday October 5th, 2009. Activities will include a joint book discussion with a US book group, an island tour, and more.

There is one Grand Prize and ten First Prizes. The Grand Prize consists of A 4-day/3-night trip for six people (including the Grand Prize Winner) to Guernsey. Ten First Prizes: One copy of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society will be awarded to each of ten first prize winners. For full details of how to enter and for terms and conditions, visit our website.

  1. Oooh - I'd love to win that prize! But unfortunately I'm already booked for those dates, so no point in entering! Why don't you win it and then tell me all about it (or, should you start by 'entering' the competition - I sound like Puddleglum!)
And (ps) how come your potatoes aren't 'chitting'? Mine are a disaster!

    Hope you win!

  3. Nice post. Guernsey is situated close to the UK.Kiddie brigade is a attractive place for a family vacation. St. Pierre Du Bois and Guernsey Folk Museum is a very wonderful place. chapel Les Vaubelets is a smallest sized chapel in the world. Sausmarez Manor located at St. Martin’s has many sculpted pieces in the art park.

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment - my favourite part of blogging is reading your comments!

Annoyingly, Blogger often messes up with comments... try refreshing, or commenting Anonymously (add your name in, though!) or using Firefox/Chrome instead of Internet Explorer. (Ctrl+c your comment first!)

Failing everything, email me: simondavidthomas[at]yahoo.co.uk - or just email me anyway :)

Thanks!
